Janet at Work
Janet Moffitt Cancer Center registered nurseAfter moving to the United States from an ICU career in the Philippines, Janet started at Moffitt in the Hematology Program. Recently, she joined the team in Moffitt’s Thoracic Clinic. Oncology is a broad and rapidly changing field, which she finds fascinating. Learning is a big aspect of the job, and Janet is motivated to keep up with new treatments and to be in an environment where she can be a patient advocate.

"Being in oncology is a special experience. Treatment-wise, patients have more options, and nurses are always learning things. If you choose this field, you will be impressed and encouraged to learn more, no matter what you specialize in."
