In addition to our surgeons, patients have access to at least 30 specially trained physician assistants, nurses and other medical staff dedicated to providing the highest-quality robotic and minimally invasive cancer surgery. Moffitt’s robotic cancer surgery team is the largest in the southeastern United States. Together, they have successfully performed more than 2,000 robotic surgeries.
It’s about the Team, Not Just the Technology
Weekly multidisciplinary tumor conferences, with cancer doctors who specialize in oncology, radiology, cancer pathology and more, provide a forum to discuss each individual patient’s possible treatment options and needs.
The team reviews clinical information, pathology and imaging studies showing the extent
of the disease in order to precisely define the targets for treatment. Our number one
priority is to provide the best quality of care for all patients and their families, and safety
of delivery is of the utmost concern.
